Simple low cost solutions involve ensuring light fittings are fitted with energy saving bulbs, loft insulation and insulation on hot water tanks are of a good thickness. We can also provide advice on other energy savings features that can potentially boost an EPC rating. However, during an EPC survey, we can only record what is present. It should be realised that some energy savings features such as solar PV and heat pumps have a high first cost and can take many years before payback is realised.
